Rocky Mountain High

The last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy. Last weekend, not only did I pull a double shift BOTH days at work, but Ethan and I did a bit of traveling. This week, I've been doing a TON of schoolwork and trying to stay sane. I've also been a tad sick from the heat lately. (But I'm better now!) Here's a rundown of the {latest} events.

Awkward:
-I got sick this week. Anyone who knows me KNOWS I hate throwing up....ick.
-SO. MUCH. SCHOOLWORK. The end.
-Work has been a nightmare. We've had people skip out on us, but more groups than ever this week...
-I will never work morning shift again. Esp. not on weekends. Worst idea ever.
-Serving all these high school students. Just...no. Some of the weirdest people ever. Doesn't seem like only three years ago, I was in high school.
-I miss Ethan:(

Awesome:
-I finally booked the photographer for our one year pictures in October. We're excited!
-Got all the travel details for Ethan's trip to East Texas! More excitement on the way!:)
-I have been having an amazing time with Ethan when we see each other!
-I think I've found my roommates for the Fall!
-Work, work, work=$$$
-Only ONE MORE WEEK until Finals! Yes!

For those of you who don't follow me on Facebook, Ethan and I went to Bedford to visit my Grandpa Eldridge (my Mom's dad) this past Saturday. When we got there, my (Grand) Uncle Thomas (my Grandfather's brother) was there. We had the privilege of taking him and my Grandfather out to eat that evening, and we were also blessed to give my Uncle Thomas his last meal. He went into cardiac arrest a few hours after we left, and passed that night. R.I.P, Uncle. You are missed.

Love, Ty: <3

Under The Bridge

Aside from me feeling pretty tired and nauseous for the last couple of days (I'm blaming it on the heat!) I had a pretty good weekend. Ethan's mom came to Denton and took us out for lunch. (Yummm!) Then Ethan and I went to Target to find his dad a Father's Day present, and I wound up buying all the Friday movies. For all of $8.99. Oh yes. After going to Sterling (the new apartment he's staying in) I came home and realized I was so tired that any plans I had that involved going out were thwarted. So my Saturday night consisted of me buying a big ol' Chicken Fried Steak from IHOP and watching the first Friday. Sunday, I woke up and went to church, then went and toured Sterling (since I have an apartment there too!) They are going to be amazing, to say the least. Then lovely, lovely Ethan found me a stream to watch the latest WWE PPV on, No Way Out. It was....okay. I liked Slammiversary better. But I enjoyed IMing Ethan and making commentary on all the matches. It helped me get through my dreaded studying for my Spanish midterm tomorrow...

Love, Ty:)

Throw Some D's On It

One= My new sheets and some of my glasses. Only thing I haven't bought yet is a quilt/comforter...
Two=Two of my favorite new things-some of the lanterns for my bedroom, and my new ruffle shower curtain!
Three=Some of my new kitchen things. I absolutely LOVE the color of my measuring spoons and measuring cups.
Four=My new plates and bowls. Plastic, but still nice!

This past week I got the chance to do a lot of shopping. All of the things I've bought so far have come from Target and have been at pretty amazing prices. (Most of my plates were about $1.49) I went to Sterling (more about that in my weekend post this week) and I am so excited. Can't wait to share more stuff for my new place.

Hope you're having a great weekend.:)

Love, Ty:)

Jumpin', Jumpin'

Today was....long. I went and did some apartment shopping, which involved a TON of walking across campus and getting off the buses. But it was TOTALLY worth it, since I got all my plates and silverware and some bedroom stuff. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to go back tomorrow and buy those GORGEOUS towels I saw for my bathroom.

Here's a rundown of the Awkward & Awesome list: Mid-week edition...

Awkward:
-Some kid came into my job asking me to give him seven hot dogs. Uh, what? Not happening.
-School is going pretty good, but I am SO. TIRED.
-Everyone around me is getting married. Every time I go on Facebook, somebody else is engaged.
-I've been too tired to get out of the house. Or go grocery shopping.
-I miss Ethan.:(

Awesome:
-My paycheck should be amazing.
-I'm halfway done with apartment shopping and I am still under budget! Yay!:)
-After today, all my bills for the summer will be paid in full! :D
- I'm working. Which always makes me happy in a weird, twisted, "I like pain" sort of way...
-I'm making good grades in my summer classes. Let's hope my streak continues after the in-class task I have in Spanish class today...

So.....back by (my own!) popular demand, I've decided to temporarily bring back Hot Guy of The Week! (To lift my spirits!) I've always loved funny men. So...our Hot Guy of The Week for this week is none other than...Mr. Ricky Gervais!:):):)

Seven Nation Army

Last night Ethan and I went out to our first live wrestling pay-per-view! And we had an AMAZING time. It was the first time I'd been off work since getting called back last Monday. So far this summer has been...interesting. I've made all A's in all of my class stuff so far. My online course is busy, but easy. My Spanish?...Still getting used to that....

Work has been hectic. We're still short-staffed because half the crew is gone for the summer, and the other half (who actually SIGNED UP to work) found other things to do. So I've worked pretty much every day since I got back in Denton. I'm quite convinced that one of my coworkers has a crush on me. (Which would be nice, if I didn't have a boyfriend....) Where was all this love when I was single, lonely, and listening to Coldplay in my dorm room?!?! (Okay, not really....)

Only two and a half more weeks until I head back to East Texas!!

Love, Ty:)

(P.S.- While I was gone, the blog hit 1000+ views! Yay! Thank you all for supporting me and reading! Much love.:))

Your Heart is an Empty Room

I haven't blogged much these last couple weeks! (Oops!) I've been pretty busy lately. This past weekend I moved back to Denton, only to figure out that I couldn't get my TV and computer out of storage until Monday. So Mr. Ethan played the role of best boyfriend ever and drove back to Denton from Fort Worth today to help a (very cranky!) me get the rest of my things and go grocery shopping. While I was out, I got a call from one of my bosses calling me back into work. So today has been...interesting. Little kids+long cafeteria lines+broken faucet at work spraying hot water all over me=grumpy Ty. For two days this weekend, my room was completely empty. No TV, no computer, no pictures at all...now it feels more like home. (And I can finally sleep again because I have my TV.) I'm really hoping these four weeks of school fly by quickly. I'm ready to be back home...and to move into my new place in August:)

Love, Ty:)
